Jazz At UPROOT, 9 Mt. Bethel Rd. Warren, New Jersey

UPROOT is a very wonderful place, and they've decided to support live jazz! I'll be there with Vinnie Corrao on Guitar and Lee Hudson on Bass September 15, 2011 from 8PM until 11PM. Great Food, drink and company. Please join us.

They're also planning a Jazz event on Sunday October, 30th 2011 12PM - 3PM, with Allan Vaché and Dan Levinson on clarinets, Randy Reinhart and myself on Cornets, Vinnie Corrao on Guitar, and Neal Miner on Bass.

This will be an exceptional afternoon, and sure to sell out, so make your reservations soon!

Tanya Holt at the Cabaret Convention

My dear friend vocalist Tanya Holt brought the house down at the Cabaret Convention on Saturday October 9th. Keep your eye out for Tanya in the future.

New CD !

I recorded a live CD last December at Marianne's Jazz Room in Bern Switzerland. We titled the CD "Jubilation" after Junior Mance's composition which is featured on the CD, along with several well know Horace Silver compositions, "Song for My Father," and "Strollin'."

Warren Vache Cornet

I am currently designing a cornet with Steve Dillon and Fred Harvey.

I have had little luck finding a manufacturer willing to make a cornet designed for jazz and all around playing rather than one specifically designed for the Brass Band.

Fred, Steve and I are currently developing a prototype instrument which we hope to have in a month or so. This instrument will be equally at home in Jazz and Commercial settings as it is in a Brass Band.

As anyone who travels will tell you, getting your instument on the plane is becoming more and more difficult in this age of security inspired restrictions. Our Cornet will feature a detachable bell, facilitating travel.

Steve Dillon, Fred Harvey and I are still working on the cornet. We'd like to know what you think of our concept, and what features you would like to see incorporated in the design. I'm preparing a questionaire for this space, and would appreciate it very much if you would check back, fill it in, and let us know your thoughts.

Lana's Gig Has Come To An End

Lana's Fine Dining, has called a halt to Thursday nights! Eddie Montiero, Vinnie Corrao, Richie DeRosa and I had a wonderful three year run, and we thank the folks at Lana's for their hospitality and good grace.
